We think having the freedom to choose which of the cellar doors you want to visit, and how far you want to bike, just makes your day that more special, but having up to 18 to choose from, deciding which ones can be hard. We think a maximum of 5 cellar doors is the way to go including one where you stop for some lunch (and that is 5 from any of the 18 cellar doors mentioned below.)
So here are some ideas for you to have a wee look at…
Want to stick to bike paths and quiet roads only, have a chilled out, easy-going time where you gently cruise between cellar doors ... then without a doubt, this awesome bunch will certainly take your fancy!
All are within a 15 minute biking radius of our base here in Renwick, making it about a 6km round trip.

Feel you can push yourself a wee bit further, but you don’t want to get too carried away – you are on holiday, after all ... then take a sneaky peek at this lovely lot.
These are within a 25 minute biking radius of our base, and are on a mixture of bike paths and main road, so if you include any of these it makes it about a 12km round trip…
No1 Family Estate
You feel the need to power-up, blow the cobwebs away and get the blood pumping ... then a ride to these will certainly tick that box!!
These are our “Big Boys” and if you want to include any of these, it will be a good 40+ minute bike ride from our place, making it about a 20km round trip.

For families with young ones – we have a family-friendly route just for you that focuses on cellar doors who can be reached via bike paths and quiet roads, and who can also cater for your wee ones.
Cellar doors that we consider too far to bike to and recommend you visit by car: Saint Clair’s, Wither Hills, Rockferry, Clos Henri.
Forrest is approx. 2 minutes biking away from our base, Cloudy Bay is 40 minutes away!!
