On arrival, you will be given a detailed cellar door map designed by us which highlights all the bike paths and quiet roads (and which roads to avoid) to help you safely navigate your way around.
We will show you a video on all the cellar doors so you know what they offer and who has food, plus we will pass on up-to-date information and friendly advice to help you plan your day.
Your time is then your own to explore and enjoy, where you bike at your own pace as you won’t have to worry about keeping up with others.

What to bring

  • Cell Phone for those photo opportunities or in case you need us!

  • Sunscreen & Sunglasses

  • Wet weather gear in case of unexpected rain

  • Over 18 years ID (for our younger looking visitors) - this must be either a passport, NZ Drivers Licence or a NZ Over 18 ID Card (please note that an international drivers' licence cannot be accepted by cellar staff)

Wine tasting experience charges

Wine tasting charges aren’t included in the bike hire, so you’ll pay for tastings as you go. To help with budgeting, prices usually range from $15.00 to $30.00 per person, covering a selection of 3–7 wines. Along with enjoying the tasting flight, you’ll also get insights into the wines and how they’re made.
Most people visit 4-5  cellar doors in a day—anymore and it gets tricky to fully appreciate the flavours! Some wineries offer the tasting charges “free” if you purchase a bottle of their wine.
All venues accept credit card, EFTPOS, and cash.
And don’t worry about carrying bottles—our free pickup service ensures any wine you purchase gets collected for you.

Crafting wine is more than just a profession—it's a deep passion, often requiring years of dedication, perseverance, and sacrifice. Every bottle reflects the commitment poured into its creation.

“There’s no such thing as bad wine; rather, some may simply not align with your palate. Tasting wine is a highly personal experience, shaped by individual preferences, so don’t feel pressured to enjoy every varietal—you’re allowed to savor what speaks to you.”
